pecha kucha whatcha?

Just came back from a Pecha Kucha night...interesting stuff that I'm gonna describe to you briefly. The concept was devised in Tokyo (2003) and it involves young desingers (and the like) networking and presenting their work. The name 'pecha kucha' is actually Japanese for chit chat and what happens is that there are usually around 20 speakers with 20 slides each going every 20 seconds. The topics are sometimes utterly random like the beauty of sleep or someone's fascination with blank walls and ultimately it's just interesting + a laugh.
