Before I do my inside Marfa, Texas post take time to admire this savvy installation in the form of a Prada store front. The piece displays handbags and shoes from Prada's 2005 collection...and several bullets trapped in the store's bullet proof glass (only in Texas!). The idea for the installations was formed at Ballroom gallery which is based in Marfa and the result has been the subject of many tourist photos (including Beyonce's travel shots ha) BUT we were close to missing it! If you're not paying attention, the store looks like a small electricity booth alongside a lengthy Texan road - making the whole concept that much more brilliant and bizarre.
